Eyes Closed Meditation

  • Select a crystal for meditation, one that you can comfortably hold in your hands and ensure it is well cleansed.
  • Find a comfortable space where you will not be disturbed.
  • Begin this meditation by closely examining your crystal paying attention to
    • Colour(s)
    • Texture
    • Temperature
    • Markings, cracks, inclusions
    • Shape and size
  • Sit comfortable with hands in your lap, one on top of the other, palms upwards, holding the crystal in your top hand.
  • Close your eyes and begin to slow your breathing, noticing the in-breath and the out-breath and with each out-breath consciously relax your body from your head down to your toes.
  • When you feel completely relaxed, take your attention to the crystal in your palm, noticing how it feels, its weight in your hand, its temperature.
  • In your mind’s eye imagine you can see the energy of the crystal as a glowing light surrounding it and with each out-breath you ‘see’ the glowing light expand and as you breathe is drawn into your hands so they begin to glow.
  • Continue to breathe in and out, imagining the crystal’s glowing energy expanding and being drawn into your body
    • Up your arms to your shoulders
    • Down into your chest and abdomen
    • Down into your hips and lower back
    • Down into your legs
    • Down into your feet to the tips of your toes
    • Up into your neck
    • Up into your head, filling your head
  • Imagine that you and the crystal have become one, glowing with crystalline energy.
  • The crystal is sharing its energy with you, balancing and harmonising your energy.
  • When you feel ready, imagine the glowing energy receding back up from your feet and down from your head to your shoulders, back down your arms into your hands and back into the crystal.
  • Express your gratitude to the crystal for sharing its energy before opening your eyes.
  • Take a few deep breaths, stretch your body and drink some water to ground yourself before cleansing your crystal and putting it away.

Write down any experiences you had during this meditation making a note of the crystal used and the date.
